The City of Rockland is pleased to announce that it has been selected to receive a $125,000 Maine Infrastructure Adaptation Fund (MIAF) grant from the Maine Department of Transportation. The MIAF grant is for construction related to the City’s stormwater separation project on Crescent Street.

“We’re thrilled to receive this vital funding from the Maine DOT,” commented Rockland City Manager Tom Luttrell. “We’d identified the Crescent Street project as a priority back in 2023. This additional funding from the State puts us in a good position to get this work done. With more intense storms becoming the norm, we have to keep shoring up to protect against the effects of climate change.”

The Maine Infrastructure Adaptation Fund, created by the Mills Administration and the Legislature in 2021, provides grants for significant infrastructure adaptation, repair, and improvements that support public safety, protection of essential community assets, and long-term infrastructure resiliency. We will provide further updates to this project as they occur.
