The City’s Wastewater Department and its engineering consultant, Wright-Pierce, are holding a public information meeting regarding a sewer separation construction project for South Main Street, from the intersection of Pleasant Street to Crescent Street. The meeting will present the project to the residents and business owners of this project area and provide an opportunity to ask questions regarding this project.

The goal of the project is to construct a new storm sewer system to eliminate inflow from catch basins directly connected to the collection system and reduce storm water being treated at the Wastewater Pollution Control Facility during storm events.

Construction is scheduled to begin in Summer 2018 and will not conflict with City festivals and events scheduled in the month of August and be completed in the Fall 2018.

The public information meeting is scheduled for Tuesday April 10, 2018 at 6:00 pm at the Rockland City Hall Council Chambers located at 270 Pleasant Street, Rockland, Maine 04841.

We hope you can attend this meeting in person. If you have any questions regarding this meeting or the project in general, please contact John Dutcher at the City’s Wastewater Department at (207) 594-0324 between the hours of 7:00am to 3:30pm Monday through Friday.
