    for the following purpose(s):

     To hear from members of the public who wish to comment in person about the potential Contract Zone at 41 Cranberry Isles Drive

    The Contract Zone between the City of Rockland and Sandy River Company would allow for construction of a nursing home and assisted living facility provided that the conditions of the contract zone are met.

    Because of COVID-19, regular meetings of the Rockland City Council continue to be held via Zoom.  A formal Public Hearing on Ordinance #27 Authorizing Contract Zone – Sandy River Company, will be held via Zoom on September 14, with notice provided on the City’s website. Public comment for that meeting will be accepted via mail, email, and Zoom. Emails should be sent to the City Manager at tluttrell@rocklandmaine.gov. Zoom can be accessed with a phone, computer or mobile device; directions will be provided with the meeting notice.

    The supplemental Listening Session scheduled for August 26 is intended to provide an additional opportunity for comment, in case there are members of the public who do not have access to Zoom, or who prefer to make comments in person.
