8.23.23 The recycle hopper and residential hopper have changed. They are clearly marked and any questions please see attendant.
On July 1, 2022 Transfer Station permits are increasing. $145.00 for a Resident Permit and $20.00 for a Second Sticker.
AS OF MAY 1ST, 2023 CITY HALL HOURS WILL CHANGE TO 7:30 AM TO 5:00 PM MONDAY THROUGH THURSDAY, AND 7:30 AM TO NOON ON FRIDAY.
As of February 17th 2024 the Rockland transfer station will no longer accept ash from wood stoves, fire pits or any type of burning.

  • Friends of Rockland Library Book Sale

    The Friends of Rockland Public Library will hold a book and bake sale at the library, 80 Union St., from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. March 16. Proceeds will benefit the library.

    Bring a bag and fill it for $10, and each additional bag for $5. There will be quite a large selection of gently used books in all subjects, and bags will also be on offer for those who don’t have one. The Book Stop will be open as well, with regularly priced books on offer.

    Members of Friends of Rockland Public Library can preview the book sale from 8:30 until 9 a.m.; anyone interested in joining or renewing may do so at the door. For more information, call 594-0310.
