  • Friends’ Annual Book, Bake, and Plant Sale

The annual book, plant and bake Sale at the Rockland Public Library will take place on Saturday, June 9 from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. There will be Friends Early Bird shopping starting at 8 a.m. (join or renew at the door). Sponsored by the Friends of RPL, this is their biggest book sale of the year, held in the Community Room of the library. Books have been collected all year in preparation for the sale. There is quite a diverse selection, with something for everyone.

The plant sale is held on the lawn of the Library. Generous donations from community gardeners include a rich selection of all kinds of plants. So far this year, there is an interesting selection of Barth day lilies, along with a assortment of iris, hostas, lupines, lamb’s ear, raspberries, tomatoes, lilacs and more. Remember, there is always room in your garden for an extra plant or two. Or ten.

As always, the Book and Plant Sale is complemented by the bake sale. Prepared by Rockland Public Library volunteers, there will be all kinds of baked goods: pies, cakes, breads, cookies, and more. All proceeds benefit the Library.
