Festival of Trees Auction
The Friends of the Rockland Public Library will hold their annual Festival of Trees silent auction on Saturday, November 27, here at the Rockland Public Library. The silent auction begins at 1 p.m. and ends at 4 p.m.
More than 30 gaily decorated tabletop trees will be featured throughout the library. Each tree is decorated in inventive ways by local businesses and often includes a generous gift certificate. The Library will be decked out in the holiday spirit as well. Everyone is invited to stop in, enjoy some holiday cheer, see familiar faces and bid on your favorite tree(s)!
All proceeds from the Tree Auction will go directly to support the Rockland Public Library.
The Book Stop, located on the bottom floor of the library, will have extended holiday shopping hours that day as well, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Patrons will find an abundance of gently used books, DVDs, CDs, and audio books, all for $5 or less, according to Friends of the Rockland Public Library, in a news release. There is also a selection of specialty books, priced accordingly.
“After cancelling the silent auction in 2020 due to the pandemic, the Friends of the Rockland Public Library are grateful for the generosity of the many local businesses that agreed to decorate a tree this year,” said the release.
