    “Let’s Draw A March Medley!”

Children will draw the Iditarod Dog Sled Races, St. Patrick’s Day, the circus, and Spring at Rockland Public Library’s ongoing children’s drawing workshops led by Rockland artist Catinka Knoth. Participants follow along with Knoth as she demonstrates creating a variety of subjects for March. St. Patrick’s Day has it’s shamrocks, St. Patrick, leprechauns, pots of gold, rainbows, and Celtic designs. Husky dogs, mushers and dog sled teams,
are motifs from the Iditarod Race in Alaska. The class may also experiment with papercuts of dog teams. The first day of Spring in 2020 is March 19th, Traditionally March was when ‘the circus comes to town’, bringing acrobats, animals, clowns, and tents.

Children 10 and under should be accompanied by Knoth expects participants to be able to work independently and encourages adults to join in the drawing fun. Local patrons Wendy and Keith Wellin sponsor the program, which is free with all materials supplied, and hosted by Friends of Rockland Library.
