Children’s Drawing Workshop
“Let’s Draw Up a Collection of August Maine Memories!”
Children will continue exploring Maine memories this summer at the weekly drawing classes led by Catinka Knoth. Knoth leads children, (and adults), ages 6 and up, in follow-along drawings on a variety of motifs. Children age 10 and under should be accompanied by an adult.August themes will include subjects such as: Maine lighthouses and boats, Maine farms with blueberry farming and belted galloways; Maine birds such as puffins, eagles, ospreys, chickadees; and, a Maine country fair. Each week is a different theme.
Knoth expects participants to be able to work independently and encourages adults to join in the drawing fun. Local patrons Wendy and Keith Wellin sponsor the program, which is free with all materials supplied, and hosted by Friends of Rockland Library. Contact Katie Drago, children’s librarian, at 594-0310 for more information.
