    Author Kirsten Lie-Nielsen

    **Due to inclement weather, the author talk has been postponed until Tuesday, May 7.**

    Kirsten Lie-Nielsen, a writer and farmer from Liberty, Maine, draws on personal experiences turning an old farm into a working, modern homestead and hopes to help folks who are looking to make the leap of going country. In this talk, she will illustrate her own experiences and share what she has learned, as well as offering some tips and tricks for surviving Maine winters with wood heat and caring for some of the most common homestead animals, sharing her personal take on the challenges and the joys of trying to live self-sufficiently.
