Alexandra S. D. Hinrichs is an award-winning author of fiction and nonfiction picture books. A former historical researcher at American Girl, she also has worked in school, public, and academic libraries. She lives in Bangor with her husband, three wild sons, and two tame cats.

Jamie Hogan is an award-winning illustrator of over 20 books, author-illustrator of two books, and educator. She lives on Peaks Island where she enjoys baking donuts and finding flotsam at low tide.

At 103 years old, Virginia Oliver is the oldest person lobstering in Maine— and maybe even the world! She has no plan to stop doing what she loves. From growing up in Rockland, to becoming the loving and fiercely independent woman she is today, her life story is as exceptional as she is.
