  • April Kindness Actvity: Thompson Meadow Road/West Meadow Road Clean-up

The community is invited to join Rockland Librarians Jessie Blanchard and Patty King on Tuesday, April 12, from 2-3:30 as they combine a walk with a neighborhood roadside spring clean-up. Garbage bags and gloves will be provided. Walking or driving, participants will meet near the “Roadside Clean-Up” sign on West Meadow, east of Thompson Meadow Rd. Please park safely along one side of the road. Bags will be collected and dropped off at the transfer station by city staff. If there is rain, the clean-up will be scheduled for a later date, yet to be determined.

The activity is part of the Library’s Kindness Counts Initiative. Please stay tuned for a new activity each month, focused on kindnesses large and small.

The Library also invites community members to clean up their own neighborhoods throughout the month of April and share pictures of the process and results to refdesk@rocklandmaine.gov. The photos will then be shared on Rockland Public Library Instagram and Facebook pages.

For more information, contact Patricia King at 594-0310 or email pking@rocklandmaine.gov.
