Household Hazardous Waste Collection Day will take place on Saturday, August 17, 2024, from 9 a.m. to 12 noon.
The drop-off location will be:
Rockland Transfer Station, 400 Limerock Street, Rockland.
Please note: Hazardous waste drop-off is made available by the City of Rockland for Rockland Residents Only.
A transfer station sticker or proof of residency is required.
1 Unit is allowed per resident for free.
Additional waste is $25/unit*
*Latex paint/architectural finishes are free and do not count towards the unit.
How much is a unit?
A unit is 5 gallons or 20 pounds of hazardous waste. For example: 1 unit could be a 5-gallon bucket of rubber cement or a collection of several smaller containers of chemicals, such as a gallon of paint thinner, a small bag of dry pesticide, and a few old aerosol cans.
