The Rockland Public  Library will be honoring local poet Kendall Merriam in a fireside reading of his poetry. Kendall was named Rockland’s Inaugural Poet Laureate in 2010 and continued serving in that capacity until 2012. He passed away earlier this year,
leaving a lifetime of quirky, poignant, and beautiful poetry. Join us in the Reading Room as library staff and friends read from selections of Kendall’s works. Anyone wanting to read may contact Jessie Blanchard at jblanchard@rocklandmaine.gov. Interested readers may bring a favorite of theirs, or choose from several already selected pieces.
