Chalk It Up to Kindness
People of all ages are invited to the library to write kind words and/or draw positive pictures on our sidewalks using sidewalk chalk. Our ultimate goal (based upon that of the Chalk Project) is to “create uplifting messages with chalk… with hopes that this anonymous message will collide with the person that needs it most.” We hope to cover at least 35 of the pavers with messages and/or art! We’ll provide the sidewalk chalk and some cushions for knees, but you are welcome to bring your own chalk and padding as well. Let’s share gratitude, kindness, and hope through our words and images. Part of the Kindness Counts Initiative at the library. June 22 is the rain date.
