American Sign Language Silent Social Hour
Hosted by Jesse Ellis. Unlike a traditional class, this is a place for people to learn the basics of American Sign Language by doing, and grow by learning. It is a place for people to learn about Deaf Culture. Each week we will learn basics for conversational sign; you will build your language skills through conversing with others, asking questions about vocabulary and grammar. It is a voice-off environment; finger spelling is taught and encouraged. Jesse Ellis is fluent in sign language, tutored for 2.5 years in undergraduate school and attended Gallaudet University, a Deaf school for 3 years for her Masters degree.
