8.23.23 The recycle hopper and residential hopper have changed. They are clearly marked and any questions please see attendant.
On July 1, 2022 Transfer Station permits are increasing. $145.00 for a Resident Permit and $20.00 for a Second Sticker.
AS OF MAY 1ST, 2023 CITY HALL HOURS WILL CHANGE TO 7:30 AM TO 5:00 PM MONDAY THROUGH THURSDAY, AND 7:30 AM TO NOON ON FRIDAY.
As of February 17th 2024 the Rockland transfer station will no longer accept ash from wood stoves, fire pits or any type of burning.

    ABSENTEE BALLOT APPLICATIONS FOR THE MARCH 5, 2024 PRESIDENTIAL PREFERENCE PRIMARY ELECTION ARE NOW AVAILABLE AT THE CITY CLERK’S OFFICE AT ROCKLAND CITY HALL, 270 PLEASANT STREET, ROCKLAND, MAINE, ON THE CITY’S WEBSITE AT www.rocklandmaine.gov, AND ON THE STATE’S WEBSITE AT www.maine.gov BY FILLING OUT AND PRINTING AN APPLICATION TO SUBMIT TO THE CLERK’S OFFICE, OR USING THE STATE’S ABSENTEE BALLOT REQUEST SERVICE.  YOU CAN ALSO REQUEST AN ABSENTEE BALLOT BY CALLING THE CITY CLERK’S OFFICE AT (207) 594-0304.  ABSENTEE BALLOTS WILL BE AVAILABLE BEGINNING THE WEEK OF FEBRUARY 5, 2024.  THE DEADLINE FOR REQUESTING AN ABSENTEE BALLOT IS CLOSE OF BUSINESS ON THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 29, 2024.  AFTER THAT DATE, ONLY PERSONS WITH ONE OF THE FOLLOWING SPECIAL CIRCUMSTANCES MAY REQUEST AND ABSENTEE BALLOT:

    • AN UNEXPECTED ABSENCE FROM THE CITY DURING THE ENTIRE TIME THAT THE POLLS ARE OPEN ON ELECTION DAY, 8:00 A.M. TO 8:00 P.M.;
    • SELF-CERTIFICATION AS A VOTER WITH A PHYSICAL OR MENTAL DISABILITY;
    • AN INCAPACITY OR ILLNESS THAT HAS RESULTED IN THE VOTER’S BEING UNABLE TO LEAVE HOME OR TREATMENT FACILITY OR HAS RESULTED IN THE VOTER’S CAREGIVER’S BEING UNABLE TO ATTEND THE POLLS DURING THE ENTIRE TIME THE POLLS ARE OPEN ON ELECTION DAY, 8:00 A.M. TO 8:00 P.M.

     

    ABSENTEE BALLOTS MUST BE RECEIVED IN THE CITY CLERK’S OFFICE NO LATER THAN 8:00 P.M. ON ELECTION DAY, MARCH 5, 2024, TO BE COUNTED.  QUESTIONS:  CALL THE CLERK’S OFFICE AT (207) 594-0304.
