Friends of Rockland Library Annual Book, Plant, and Bake Sale
It’s time for the annual book, plant, and bake sale at the Rockland Public Library! There will be Friends Early Bird shopping starting at 8 AM (join or renew at the door). Sponsored by the Friends of RPL, this is our biggest book sale of the year, held in the Community Room of the library. Books have been collected all year in preparation for this event. There is quite a diverse selection, with something for everyone. We have an especially well treasured, large collection of high quality sci-fi this year. We’ve also set aside some book treasures on a special shelf in the Book Stop, books which we have previously sold online, for your perusal. Come check it all out!
The plant sale is held on the lawn of the Library. Generous donations from community gardeners include a rich selection of all kinds of plants. So far this year, there is a small selection of Barth day lilies, other lovely day lilies, peonies, along with a assortment of irises, hostas, lupines, lamb’s ears, raspberries, tomatoes, lilacs, and more. Remember, there is always room in your garden for an extra plant or two. Or ten.
As always, the Book and Plant Sale is complimented by the bake sale. Prepared by Rockland Public Library volunteers, there will be a selection of baked goods: pies, cakes, breads, cookies, and more. All proceeds benefit the Library.
