At the City Council meeting of November 13, 2024, the City Council issued Commendations to:
- Lieutenant Thomas Shook for 20 years of service to the City of Rockland as a member of the Rockland Fire & EMS Departments
- Assistant Fire Chief Patrick Lowe for 20 years of service to the City of Rockland as a member of the Rockland Fire & EMS Departments.
- Firefighter Alan Athearn for 23 years of service to the City of Rockland as a member of the Rockland Fire Department Call Division, and for acting as the Department Photographer for 15 years, documenting the Department’s history.
The City Council also recognized Rockland Mayor Nicole Kalloch for her three years of service to the City Council and her one-year term as Mayor of the City of Rockland.

RESOLVE Commendation – Thomas Shook
BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL AS FOLLOWS:
THAT Lieutenant Thomas Shook is hereby commended and congratulated for 20 years of service to the City of Rockland as a member of the Rockland Fire & EMS Departments.
AND, be it further Resolved that a Plaque and a Certificate of Commendation be presented to Lt. Shook as a token of the City’s appreciation for his years of service to the Community.
RESOLVE Commendation – Patrick Lowe
BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL AS FOLLOWS:
THAT Assistant Fire Chief Patrick Lowe is hereby commended and congratulated for 20 years of service to the City of Rockland as a member of the Rockland Fire & EMS Departments.
