This project will develop a plan for wayfinding signs that welcome visitors to Rockland and direct them to destinations Downtown and on the waterfront.
The focus within downtown and along the waterfront will be on both vehicles and pedestrians. The plan will include recommendations for sign types, locations, and designs. It also will include phasing so that implementation is feasible.
SE Group will advise on best practices for wayfinding, and work with an ad hoc Wayfinding Advisory Group (WAG) to develop recommendations. The WAG will be made up of community members, including representatives from relevant committees. It also includes City staff who would be involved with wayfinding implementation.
