  •  In Police Department

     At the City Council meeting, May 9, 2018, Rockland Police Chief Bruce Boucher, announced he will step down in September.

    Chief Boucher came to lead the Rockland Police Department in June 2005 after five years as director of security for Bowdoin College in Brunswick. Prior to the college security post, Boucher worked for the Brunswick Police Department for 23 years, rising to the rank of commander.

     

    Chief Boucher was the first outside person to be hired as Rockland police chief in at least 50 years, succeeding Chief Alfred Ockenfels.
