    Nov. 5, 2019 Municipal Election


    The following offices/terms are available for nomination for the November 5, 2019 Annual Municipal Election.  Nomination papers are now available at the City Clerk’s Office at Rockland City Hall, 270 Pleasant Street, Rockland, Maine, during regular business hours.


    City Council:  2 seats (Glaser, Magjik) 3-year term.                                                 Signatures: 100-150


    RSU #13 Board of Directors:  2 seats (Avirett, Weinand) 3-year term.                  Signatures:  100-150


    Port District Board of Trustees:  1 seats (Emmott) 5-year term.                            Signatures:  15-30


    Port District Board of Trustees:  1 seat (Vacant), 4-year term.                               Signatures:  15-30


    Election Warden:  1 seat (Woodman) 1-year term                                                   Signatures:  15-30


    Ward Clerk:  1 seat (Marshall) 1-year term                                                              Signatures:  15-30



    Candidates may take out as many nomination papers as they wish.  The number of required signatures are as follows:


    For City Council and RSU #13 Board, must have no less than 100 nor more than 150 signatures of registered Rockland voters to qualify for placement on the ballot.  It is suggested that candidates collect at least 120-125 signature to make sure they have a sufficient number to qualify for placement on the ballot.

    For Port District, Election Warden, and Ward Clerk, no less than 15 nor more than 30 signatures are required.


    Due Date:  Nomination Papers may be taken out beginning August 7, 2019 and must be filed at the City Clerk’s Office no later than 4:30 p.m. on September 23, 2019.
